Because we manufacture the shell of every Brushwood home in our climate controlled shop, we can achieve superior detailing and performance with the utmost efficiency.
Exterior panels are delivered to the site and assembled within days, giving you a complete structure in a fraction of the time it takes to build a conventional home.

Design
Merging New England's architectural heritage with modern aesthetics, our home designs are practical, comfortable, and virtually maintenance-free, incorporating everything you need and nothing you don’t.
The exterior showcases traditional pine shiplap siding and trim details while the interior embraces minimalism with clean lines and simplified trim. Understated fixtures and finishes complete the design, adding subtle sophistication to the warm, open atmosphere.

From superior insulation to advanced air filtration and meticulously selected fixtures and finishes, every all-electric Brushwood Home is designed to maximize both comfort and efficiency and eliminate the complexity of home ownership. Smart, sustainable living comes standard.
ENVELOPE
Double stud wall panels have an R-44 thermal value and incorporate a thick exterior layer of wood fiber insulation to eliminate thermal bridging. The plywood sheathing doubles as the air barrier and is located in the middle of the wall panel where it is protected from moisture and damage. Roof panels include vented sheathing for maximum durability, and are also insulated with R-63 carbon-storing wood fiber insulation.
ROOFING & SIDING
Standing seam metal roofing is exceptionally durable and long-lasting. Eastern White Pine shiplap siding pairs perfectly with Vermont Natural Coating Exterior Wood Stain to provide a beautiful finish from day one. Generous roof overhangs and an air gap behind the cladding ensure that the Brushwood exterior finishes will look great with minimal maintenance for years to come.
WINDOWS & DOORS
Triple pane windows and doors combine outstanding energy savings and maximize interior comfort, and are ideally suited as passive house components.
Highly insulated glazing means no more condensation on the inside and no more drafts when sitting near the windows.
MECHANICAL SYSTEMS
All electric, easy to use, and super-efficient. Heat pumps keep the home exceptionally comfortable no matter the weather outside, and every Brushwood has a mechanical ventilation system that recovers conditioning energy and provides outstanding indoor air quality.
APPLIANCES
Our carefully curated all electric, Energy Star rated appliance package features Consumer Reports recommended equipment, including high efficiency washers and heat pump dryers.
INTERIOR FINISHES
Painted drywall, painted pine baseboard and door trim, clear pine window sills with Vermont Natural Coatings Poly Whey, drywall returns around windows, hardwood floors, Vermont slate tile on bathroom floors, paperstone countertops.
CABINETRY & HARDWARE
IKEA Havbäck and Sektion cabinet lines provide a reliable, wallet friendly solution for the kitchen and baths. Streamlined, durable, solid steel pulls and knobs in chrome finish provide timeless appeal.
FIXTURES
Kohler Simplice kitchen and bathroom faucets combine thoughtful functionality, universal design and an understated elegance. A workstation kitchen sink integrates cutting board and dish rack.
ADD-ONS
Pre designed garages and porches are available as add-ons. Brushwood homes come with a standard frost wall design (no basement) but can be customized to include a basement. Woodstoves can also be added.
CUSTOMIZATION
Make your Brushwood Home uniquely yours with our custom design options. Our expert design/build team will collaborate with you to create the perfect solution for your needs. While customization services do add to the total investment, the result will be exactly what you envision.
