Get on Board
Home Selection
Which Brushwood home will work best for you, and how will you enjoy your space? Building your dream home using our predesigned system helps your project come together efficiently, saving you time and money, and reducing decision fatigue.
Review Our Intake Forms
Our worksheets are designed to ensure you have all your top level information together — model selection and preliminary site evaluation, budget and financial plan, timeline, and everything in between.
Consultation Call
We look forward to learning more about you, your vision, and property. On this call we’ll review the worksheets and answer any questions you may have. Afterwards, we’ll send you a preconstruction agreement.
Site Visit
A Brushwood Project Developer will visit your site to help determine where the house will go, what type of foundation it will need, how utilities will serve the house, etc. From there we will draft a site plan and engage any necessary third parties (engineers, consultants, etc.).
Project Documentation
Finalizing Your Home Specs
Based on our consultations and site visit we will be able to calculate the total project cost.
Project Kickoff & Paperwork
From here we create the construction documentation—the final drawings, confirmed specifications, a scope of work, construction schedule and the construction agreement. Once we have a signed contract we’ll begin ordering the materials to start building your Brushwood Home.
Out of the Box vs. Customization
Brushwood Homes come standard with an optimized, fixed set of architectural elements that are included in the price of each Brushwood Home Model. However, our expert design/build team can collaborate with you to modify these selections, for an additional fee (plus the cost of the modifications).
Fabrication
It’s go time.
We’ve streamlined our construction process to save you time and money without cutting corners. Instead of starting from scratch on-site, we build precise wall panels in our factory, then carefully assemble them at your location—kind of like high-quality building blocks for grown-ups.
Assembly
Watch it all come together.
Our homes are tightly sealed and super-insulated, creating the ideal conditions for indoor comfort. Triple pane windows and doors and mechanical ventilation systems maintain ideal living conditions with minimal energy consumption.
Fit-Out & Finish
The Home Stretch
Once your home is “dried in” we begin exterior and interior work — roofing and siding, running the plumbing, electrical and HVAC, plus installation of the finishes, fixtures and appliances. We’ll meet with you at key milestones to discuss progress and next steps.
Move In
Welcome Home!
On a typical project, your fully completed home will be ready to welcome you through its doors within a year of signing the contract documents.
We’ll leave you with a comprehensive owner’s manual that includes everything you need to know about how your home works (and when to change your air filters!), and a warranty that will put your mind at ease.
